Seminar BR-92: Managing and Improving Processes in Projects or Organizations

Description: In all organizations and projects, processes are being followed every day to achieve goals to deliver services or products. Processes are crucial to ensure the development of the organization and the success of any given project. These processes are not always documented and are often unclear, resulting in inefficencies and waste of resources. This seminar provides the participants with the concepts, tools, and techniques to describe, document, and implement processes. It guides the participants on how to manage processes, and covers an effective methodology, including tools and techniques, to improve processes. The seminar includes daily presentations on concepts, techniques, tools, exercises, and sector-related case studies. Practical application can either be done on the participant's organization/project data or on sectors related case studies. The participants will learn to apply process management to improve and facilitate coordination and communication within the program, project or the organization.
Objectives: The objectives of the seminar are to develop, increase, and strengthen the knowledge of the participants on how to define, manage, and improve processes and to provide the participants with a toolbox to apply in their program, project or organization.
